In 1925, a collection of Pushkin's fairy tales «Le Coq d’or et d’autres contes» was published in Paris, designed by the famous Russian graphic artist Boris Vasilievich Zvorykin. Trying to reproduce the beauty of the pictures of the long-gone life of Ancient Russia created by the poet, Zvorykin designed the Paris edition in the style of Russian book miniatures. Frames, headings, vignettes, initials - everything in his work is consonant with the ornamental aesthetics of Old Russian manuscripts.
The book includes five fairy tales (in the photo).
